To impart knowledge and excellence in the domain of civil engineering with perspectives of western Odisha to our students and make them ethically strong and skilled engineers to build our nation.

Mission of the Department

M1: To produce a Diploma in Civil Engineers of high calibre, technical skills, and ethical values to serve society and the nation.

M2: To make the department a centre of excellence in the field of civil engineering application & serve the community in all areas of Civil Engineering.

PROGRAMS SPECIFIC OUTCOMES(PSO’S)

PSO 01: The students of this program should be able to plan, analyse and prepare cost estimate for execution for different type of Civil Engineering Projects.

PSO 02: The students of this program should be able to work effectively as an individual or in a team to execute and supervise a civil construction project maintaining the quality, health, safety, environmental and societal requirements.

PROGRAMS EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES(PEO’S)

PEO 01: To set up a platform for sustainable techno-commercial solutions to real-life engineering problems, teamwork and desire to learn.

PEO 02: To achieve a successful career in their field of service or higher studies or starup business.

PEO 03: To emphasize value-based learning for the fulfillment of social and economical needs through effective communication skills.

PROGRAMS OUTCOMES

PO1. Basic and Discipline specific knowledge: To provide fundamental knowledge of civil engineering science and applied mathematics to make the student efficient Civil Engineers.

PO2. Problem Analysis: To implement skills to innovate in the program of Civil Engineering for better performance in higher studies, jobs, and entrepreneurship

PO3. Design/ Development of solutions: To emphasize value-based learning for the fulfillment of social and economical needs through effective communication skills.

PO4. Engineering Tools, Experimentation and Testing: An ability to apply the knowledge, techniques, skills, and modern tools of their discipline to narrowly-defined engineering technology activities.

PO5. Engineering practices for society, Sustainability and Environment: Apply appropriate technology in context of society, sustainability, environment and ethical practices.

PO6. Project Management: Use engineering management principle individually as a team manager or a Leader to manage projects and effectively communicate about well defined engineering activities.
