Department Of Automobile Engineering


Automobile Engineering Department is one of the core department of the institution which started functioning in the year 2013(Establishment year) with intake capacity of 30 students. It offers diploma program and has been focusing on good quality teaching along with integrated laboratory experiments. The course has been attracting good students from inception and is becoming increasingly popular. Department has well- developed infrastructure and well equipped laboratories like Automobile engine laboratory, Automobile Machine-Shop, Automobile Electrical system laboratory & Automobile Workshop.With the help of multimedia, interactive sessions, industrial visits, expert lecturers, teaching- learning process is enhanced at department. Passed-out students from this department are most eligible candidates to be placed in various Govt. sectors like Motor Vehicle Inspector(MVI), DRDO, Indian Railways, Indian Airforce, Ordinance Factory,Technician post in Indian Army, Public sectors like SAIL,MCL and Private Sectors like Maruti Suzuki ,TATA Motors ,Bajaj Motors , L&T etc.


To Produce Professionally Confident and Responsible Engineers with the Knowledge and Skills in Automobile Engineering sectors that make them patriotic, successful, entrepreneur to meet ever changing needs of the Global Automotive Industry and the Society.


1. Laying sound foundation in the areas of Mechatronics, Automotive Transmission & vehicle maintenance.

2. Create awareness in professional responsibilities, good communication skills, ethics, entrepreneurial, global impact of engineering solutions and of the need for life-long learning.

3. To produce automobile engineering diploma holders with knowledge, strong mind and ability to strive for nation building.

Program Outcomes
PO1. Basic and Discipline specific knowledge :
An ability to apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals and engineering specialization to solve the engineering problems.

PO2. Problem Analysis:
Identify and analyze well defined engineering problems using codified standard methods.

PO3. Design/ Development of solutions:
Design solutions for well defined technical problems and assist with the design of system components and processes to meet specified needs.

PO4. Engineering Tools, Experimentation and Testing:
Apply modern tools and techniques of their discipline to conduct standard tests and measurements.

PO5 Engineering practices for society, Sustainability and Environment :
Apply appropriate technology in context of society, sustainability, environment and ethical practices.

PO6. Project Management:
Use engineering management principle individually as a team member or a leader to manage projects and effectively communicate about well defined engineering activities.

PO7 Lifelong learning :
Recognize the need for, and have the preparation and ability to engage in independent and life-long learning in the context of technological changes.


The program educational objective aims at

PEO-1 : To establish students as successful professionals while working independently or in multidisciplinary teams demonstrating professional, ethical and societal responsibilities.

PEO-2 : To implement skills in Automobile Engineering fields for better performance in higher studies , jobs and entrepreneurship.

PEO-3 : To provide high levels of technical competency and problem solving skills to generate innovative solutions to engineering problems including in areas specific to automobiles.
